DR BIN-NUN’S FAILURES

The highly revolutionary Dr. Bin Nun (by the way, a retired officer) called ALL genetic scientists charlatans. For what? For the fact that the results of their research contradict his hypothesis about the origin of the Jews from the Hellenes and other pagans who “joined” the Jews. In fact, this is a variant of the hypothesis of another «professor», Shlomo Zand, author of the book «Who and why invented the Jews.»

In fact, there is NO reason to doubt the results of genetic studies. Geneticists explained to us, the unenlightened, that the numerous Ashkenazi people are the descendants of a very small group of Jews (less than 1000 people). The Jewish people went through the «bottleneck» in the early Middle Ages. As a result, all Ashkenazim are relatives up to the 5th generation.

Whoever does not believe that this is possible, let him calculate how many times a group of 1000 people can increase if it multiplies exponentially, with a birth rate of more than 10 children per woman and low infant mortality. Let’s take for clarity the population census data of New Amsterdam (predecessor of New York). 30 Jews were registered there, including 1 man, 2 women, and 27 living children. By the way, these were not Ashkenazi Jews, but Portuguese Jews who had migrated from Amsterdam.

At the beginning of our era, up to 50 thousand Jews, mostly men, lived in Rome. In his epistle to the Romans (that is, to the Roman Jews), the apostle Paul warns these men against the sin of adultery. They must marry. On whom? Of course, on Christians who converted from paganism.

Dr. Bin Nun informed us about the joining of the Gentiles to the Jews in North Africa. The question remains, where did millions of their descendants go (remember the geometric progression of reproduction)? Answer: They became Christians or idolaters, and ceased to consider themselves Jews.

The Jewish remained a few groups that maintained commercial and financial ties with other Jews throughout the Roman Empire, Persia, Arabia, and even India. These remnants of the Jews did not allow pagans and Christians into their midst, so as not to give outsiders the sources of their income.

Yes, they fell into a genetic bottleneck, but they passed on their Jewish male DNA to their descendants. Well, female MtDNA could have been given by four Italian foremothers, or Berber, Arab, Persian, or Indian, at the place of residence of male Jews.

Another incorrect statement by Bin Nun concerns the Koran. He says that in the Koran Muhammad is not mentioned by name, the name Mecca is not mentioned, but the story of Jesus and Mary is mentioned. On this basis, Bin-Nun authoritatively stated that the Qur’an was written by Christians, somewhere in Syria, while the hadiths were written in Khorasan (Northern Iran).

I advise Dr. Bin Nun to read the Qur’an and make sure that the most frequently mentioned name in Qurán is Moses. The story of Moses and the exodus of the Children of Israel from Egypt is repeated in every third sura of the Qur’an.

Also, the ancient pagan Arab/Arabian heroes and their stories are included in the Qur’an. The Christians of Syria could hardly have known these purely Arabian legends.

The hypotheses that Dr. Bing Nun uttered in his lecture in the wine cellar look revolutionary, even plausible, but numerous “mistakes” make one wonder, which of his sensational “discoveries” can be trusted?
