Zionist idea states, that the Jews are indigenous people of Palestine. When Herzl proposed Uganda as the Jewish State, Zionist congress had rejected his idea, and proclaimed Palestine as the goal. «The Firsters» (first Jewish settlers) considered local Arabs their brethren. Such views expressed Zionist intellectuals, like poet Bialik and painter Rubin, David Ben Gurion and many others.
Just the Palestinians have rejected Jewish wooing. After numerous slaps in the face (last of these were Oslo terror and Intifada), some Jews try to appease «our Palestinian brethren» offering self-destruction of Israel. Even anti-Palestinian Jewish extremists call Palestinians «our bad cousins».
However, last genetic studies indicate that at least 50% of the Palestinian population are genetically very distant from being local. Maybe, Palestinians themselves were informed in the matter much better, than Jews.
