THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TORAH

The Torah is important to 2.5 billion Christians. For them, this is the Old Testament, which Pope Bergoglio neglects. I hope he retires early. The influence of Christianity is weakening and this is reflected in the attitude towards Israel.

But for Muslims, the Torah is also important. In fact, the content of the Torah is reflected in the Qur’an. Studying the Qur’an, Muslims unexpectedly discover the Torah. In the world of Islam, changes are taking place not only for the bad but also for the better. Abraham’s agreements did not occur by accident.

The Torah influences the mentality of billions of people, and therefore it influences more than momentary political interests and laws.

As for the origin of the Torah, it looks like it really started in Egypt. Gradually it turns out that it was not Akhenaten who invented faith in a single god, but the Hyksos, that is, the Semitic inhabitants of the Nile Delta. For the first time, the pharaoh of the Hyksos Apopi (about the 16th century BC) indulged in monotheism.

Around the same time, the Egyptian Semites began to create an alphabet that used the forms of Egyptian hieroglyphs but gave them the meaning of letters, that is, individual consonants.

Recently, an inscription was deciphered in a cameo found on Mount Ebal (Samaria) by Dr. Zertal. 13th century BC inscription in Hebrew was made shortly after the arrival of the Jews from Egypt in the Land of Israel. It is likely that the Tablets of the Covenant were written in the same alphabetic script in Hebrew.
